Got itchy and so in '95 got my Master's in psych./mental health nursing and went back to work at the Health Dept. in '93, part-time, doing screenings, assessments, and coordination of services for kids birth to 3 who are at risk for or are developmentally delayed. Still have more hours of supervision and clinicals to do to get my certificate. Started a private practice and it's going slow but I love it. Any referrals out there? When I! have any free time, which is rare, I go to the beach, all year round. It's soul nourishing for me. I remain best friends with Joyce Leon Castaldy ('66) for lo these 36 years. Susan Heidicker Brown
Updated 3/27/05. In 2003 my husband Jerry and I moved to a new home we built in the mountains on 5 wooded acres. The scenery is beautiful, the air is fresh and clean, and it is very quiet. We see deer every day and have had a mountain lion and a bear wake us up in the middle of the night (lion screeching, bear trying to get into a trash can). There are not many massage clients up here, so I've started doing stained glass and making evergreen wreaths. I actively volunteer with All Breed Rescue Network, a coalition of over 100 different purebred dog rescue groups, as their newsletter editor & hotline coordinator. You can see us on www.allbreedrescuenetwork.com. We enjoy travelling in our 5th wheel trailer, when we can. I would love to hear from former classmates and would love to see you when you come to visit beautiful Colorado. Self-employed as a Certified Massage Therapist in Aurora, Colorado (Denver metro area). Married in 1983. No children. 4 dogs. Enjoy hiking, biking, camping in Colorado and the West. We have a 5th wheel trailer in which we travel. Building a house on 5 acres in the mountains & hoping to move there within the next year or so.

Mark Tager I was doing the best I could trying to explain the "real facts of life" to James, my 14 year old son as he lamented an apparent lack of reciprocity in his positive feelings for a female classmate. There's an old rule, I counseled, "Throughout school, there will be at least two girls whom you will long for, but they will never know you exist. Conversely, there will be one or two girls who will find you attractive, but you will have no interest in them." To prove the point, I dusted off my 66 Treasure Chest and took James down memory lane. In the "longing for" category, there were a lot more than two! What fun to remember how those vivid images of youthful desire clouded every other sense, especially the ability to learn physics. I live with my wife, Carol, son James, and 12 year old daughter Marissa, in Rancho Santa Fe, California, just north of San Diego. After undergraduate and medical school at Duke, I began working in healthcare communications for consumers and physicians-writing cable health shows, newspaper articles, and books. I started a company in 1984 that was acquired, a decade later, by a larger healthcare publisher. Most of my current work involves consulting in consumer healthcare. Carol does interior design. James shows strong abilities in writing and acting. Marissa is the jock of the family. We return to New York, twice a year, Thanksgiving and Summer, so as to never forget the wonderful mantra of the LIRR, "Baldwin, Freeport, Merrick, Bellmore..and Babylon."

Jackie Werner Abrams What a great surprise!! How did you ever find me? I've been living in central Vermont for over 20 years, and am in the midst of trying to buy a house in the "big city" of Brattleboro, VT. If it all happens, I will be moving there in a month. I'm divorced, and have 2 girls, ages 18 and 20, both in college. I'm a full-time "basket artist" - whatever than may mean. That's what it says on my tax return; I don't know what to call myself, and always stumble when someone asks me what I do.

Carol Zablocki After 20 years in higher ed administration, along with some consulting thrown in, I started with a group in Sprinfield, MO - Students In Free Enterprise. It's an interesting mix of people and agenda to educate college students by providing them the opportunity to develop leadership, teamwork and communications skills through learning, practicing and teaching the principles of free enterprise. It sounds like a mouthful, but this is a global movement and has been around for 25 years. I am involved in the development side of this. And I get to travel, too. I was looking to get out of higher ed, but I never really left, just redirected my energies. Springfield is a lovely little city, but I have yet to try line dancing, wear big hair, western boots or a fringed shirt...or visit Branson. For some reason, I have yet to cultivate an ear or appreciation of C&W music (especially the Ozark version).
